Skopje (the capital of Macedonia) is a melting pot of political, economic and cultural activities with a population of over 600,000. As an area of high degree of threats from natural disasters, its geographical position, natural characteristics of the surroundings and its infrastructure are still vulnerable on heavy rainfalls, earthquakes and natural threats in general. The vast territory and the high number of administration citizens, pushed City of Skopje to increasingly invest in prevention measures and in activating collaborations with EU Countries for solutions development.
Skopje will take part to all international events, selecting relevant participants in line with the event agenda. It will responsible for selectin the local NGOs and in guiding them in citizens involvement initiatives.
